Born in 1969 in Alsace (France), a graduate of the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Paris and the Haute Ecole de Genève (horn and chamber music), Bruno Peterschmitt divides his activity between orchestra (solo horn), arrangements, composition and orchestral conducting. As a musician, he has worked with Zubin Mehta, Kurt Masur, Armin Jordan, Klaus Mäkäla, Fabio Luisi, François Xavier Roth... and with the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande, the Orchestre National de France, the Radio France Philharmonic Orchestra, the Orchestre de Paris, the Moscow Chamber Orchestra, Les Siècles (natural horn), the Rouen Normandy Opera...
Since his beginnings as a musician, he has always arranged the works he liked (for example Berlioz’s «Marche au supplice» at the age of 15), especially for wind band and brass band, but also for small chamber music formations, quintets, octets... Author of 2 operas/musicals, pieces for solo horn(s) and various works, he has recorded several discs with the Brass Band des Savoie, the last one with David Guerrier as soloist on trumpet and cornet. His catalogue includes works of French music (Debussy, Ravel, Saint-Saëns, Berlioz, Lully, Charpentier) as well as great romantic works (Beethoven, Richard Strauss, Mahler, Bruckner, Wagner, Verdi, Tchaikovsky, Holst...).
